Queen's representative frauds Canadians $700,000 in Quebec

Postby French Castanut » Jun 12th, 2012, 6:39 pm

Lise Thibault used to be the "lieutenant-gouverneur" of Québec, the official representative of the Queen in the province. She is accused of making fraudulent spendings of over 700,000$ when she was in function, from 2002 to 2007.

She is accused of fraud and counterfeit of documents:

Today, we learned that she tries to stop her trial under a very old british law called: "The queen can do no wrong", which also rules canadian justice system.

And when the justice brings you to court.. it's in fact the queen accusing you of something. Lise Thibault, as the direct queen representative, claims immunity since the Queen can't put charges against.. the Queen!

This is just so wrong! The Queen (or her direct representant!!!) is stealing us, and can't face justice because of that stupid law. What's your opinion?

It's not a French issue.. This is canadian citizen taxes money. You people are funny.

(Please read the next sentence with a british accent):
Of course, english canadians love the queen, no matter how wrong she acts, or no matter how much she steals... Sorry, but she's just a freakin human bean like the rest of us, at the exception that she have her OWN gold private toilet bowl at the parliament in Ottawa, that she is the only one allowed to use.

I tried to find out more about this gold toilet you are talking about, but can't find anything, so I am guessing you made this up. You need to separate the issues here:
1) The provincial lieutenant governor of Quebec (surprise!) abused public funds...wow...a Quebec politician treating the public purse as her own...couldn't have seen that one coming...

and

2) Quebec's non-love affair with the Queen...

Suck it up princesses. You shouldn't be mad at the Queen. You guys should all be kissing the Queen's backside. You should be angry with your ancestors, who in 1759, allowed a rag-tag band of Brits to take over your entire colony. You guys spend 150 years building up a colony, and then a few British soldiers show up, and you guys just bend over and hand the entire kit and kaboodle over to them. Like what the hell were they thinking? So anyway, your ancestors handed over the entire colony, and said "do with us what you will". What the British should have done was shipped you back to France, or sent you down to Louisiana like the poor Acadians, or shipped you off to the prairies to live with your Voyageur brethern. But they let you stay, and gave you a whole pack of rights too, including citizenship. And how do you repay them? By crying about the Queen! By crying about everything! Give it a rest already. And grow the hell up.
The problems we face today are there because the people who work for a living are now outnumbered by those who vote for a living.

A solid silver toilet would have far better antibactierial properties.

This is very true. It was broadcast on tv.. a live visit from her "cabinet". I'll try to find the link and post it here.

he kicked his butt all the way into the walls of Quebec city, where Montcalm was killed and the French surrendered. I honestly think in Quebec schools they tell it the other way around.
