Re: When the Gestapo comes knocking....
i have personally seen the police easily lie to get warrants.
they are hardly questioned and if found to be incorrect then it still falls on the victim to prove the officer did it on purpose.
very seldom does a judge take the accused over the cop.
i have had cops come in my yard and order me out of my house by gunpoint because they were too lazy to read house numbers as a guy was beating his wife a block down the road.
my wife was crying and the neighbors looking out the windows and im asking what did i do.
its time someone made them accountable in canada.

Friend #3 said : Good call on taking apart your grow op before the cops came back. Probably shouldn't set it back up again until the neighbour who complained to the cops moves away. Sucks that you forgot about the bag you stashed in the drawer. Pretty creative of the cops to pretend to be at your door looking for someone else.
i am with number 3
and you might want to google the word gestapo and its meaning.

The basic Gestapo law passed by the government in 1936 gave the Gestapo carte blanche to operate without judicial oversight. The Gestapo was specifically exempted from responsibility to administrative courts, where citizens normally could sue the state to conform to laws.
hmmm actually it doesnt seem that far off does it?

Re: When the Gestapo comes knocking....
its fairly easy to get a idea.
if they had just moved in and had shake in the house consider the facts, it takes approx 3 months to start a room and grow it and dry the weed.
they claim to have ordinary hydro usage and not enough time to grow it.
would seem silly to raid the house on those grounds wouldnt it?
it would take the RCMP minutes to find out how long they lived in the house also.
just ask the neighbor.
and think about it, the RCMP smelled a bag of shake in a drawer?
whoever signed the search warrant should be fired as should the officer that requested it.
a dismantled grow op is not against the law its just equipment that could have been used for peppers.
did they find a room of equipment?
did they use the flir to see if there was a big heat source?
saying you smell a grow op in a house without one is 100% a obvious sign of a malicious fake warrant.

This is old news from an old thread. Happened back in January. I only brought it back because there was a grow op bust the other day at a home with a similar address.

i think the cops have been kicking in many doors down in vancouver with bylaws incorrectly.
its easy when you have no real rules to follow if wrong.

You went with the COPS to have the warrant sworn?
Hardly questioned by who?
Are you speaking at trial, the evidence of the cop is greater than the accused?
Courts don't make cops accountable at trial?

the police say what they want to get a warrant ind its your word against theirs on the lies they tell to get it or i suppose the fabrication of the truth.
a cops word is almost always taken over the accused.
its not that you have to prove a cop was wrong in a warrant, you have to prove he was wrong for because of deceit.
anyone who has had a few dealings with them has seen they lie in court just as often as the criminals.
you dont have to go with them to see the lies with a warrant, you have a copy later.

Re: When the Gestapo comes knocking....
Just about a year has passed now since the original post on this matter by the residents of the house that was searched. Perhaps I missed it when speeding through this thread, but wonder if these people lodged a formal complaint against the police officer or officers who they say abused their authority; and if they did lodge a complaint with the Commission for Public Complaints Against the RCMP, what have been the results thus far? It seems to me that if the OP's rendition of events is accurate, the officer who got the warrant, where there was no marihuana present in the premises, must have mislead the Judge who issued the warrant... and that would be perjury which is a criminal offence. I am with Ken7 who declares that attempting to get a Justice to issue a search warrant soley on the single grounds that an officer states he smelled marihuana from within the residence is not reality. Did the OP or the OP's lawyer review the Information to Obtain the Search Warrant? IMHO, there is a lot more to this story than has been provided by the original OP and a lot of it would have been contained in the ITO. The fact that none of it has been offered up by the OP diminishes their credibility.. no?
