Has Canada Post "cooked the books"

Interesting that they can use an undisclosed amount in the 2011 financial statements while not paying one dime out in this settlement awarded to employees.

I don't know why Canada is so late in regards to equity. 30 years :ohmygod: for some people that's a lifetime.

Quebec has a law that promotes equity. Not only promotes, you have to be equitable. No pity for corporations. WOuld never have taken 30 years to settle up a case like that. Interest would have been ruled by a judge as well.

Now what, they're gonna wait another 30 year for the payments?

and why calculate the 30 years b4 issuing payments... if you're done calculating the 1st 5 years, write a cheque. Done with the next 5 years, write another cheque... do like that until you're done calculating the 30 years. Then issue a lump sum interest payment. Don't take these people for hostage because you have only 60 people to verify 30,000 files.

The only thing CP cares about is showing a loss so they can raise rates, cut jobs, wages and benefits, and they have Harper and company stick their long noses (getting longer by the day) into collective bargaining.

The count is funny:

60 employees to verify 30,000 files

30,000 files X 26 annual pay check (bi-weekly pay) = 780,000

780,000 pay check X 30 years = 23,400,000

23,400,000 paycheck / 60 people to verify them = 390,000 paycheck each

390,000 paycheck to verify / 1 a minute = 390,000 minutes

390,000 minutes / 60 = 6500 hours

6500 hours / 7h shift = 928 days!!!!

928 days / 200 day a year worked = 4.64 years to verify the paychecks :dyinglaughing: :dyinglaughing: :dyinglaughing: :dyinglaughing:
