Actually, I think the bird is most likely a female varied thrush.

We got started on the tv version of The World is not Enough.
Watching old James Bond movies is agonizing. All that old technology. Eek.

Hehe, reminiscent of Maxwell Smart's shoe-phone? James Bond movies are pretty much an institution, it's neat to look at the old ones and realize they were "cutting edge" in their day. Did you know the latest release, "Skyfall", is the twenty-fifth Bond movie released, and Daniel Craig the seventh actor to play the part? There were some big names taking on parts in some of the old ones. I remember laughing watching "Never Say Never Again" and seeing Rowan Atkinson (Mr. Bean) show up as a British agent in the Carribean. Nigel Smallfawcett. Too funny.

And yet I've heard otherwise.
Ya just can't get a good Bond review these days.
Fluff is right, the hardware in those things are cutting edge for their time.
Didja see anything new Captian A?
Anything prophetic like in Blade Runner?

I watched a bit of the Avengers in 3_d.. the TV is about $10,000 with the glasses, etc.. but what a freakin rush! Even if I won the lotto I wouldn't buy it, I guess I can just go there once a week and watch snippets til I've seen the entire movie

We tried 3D movies NormaM, but the nausea I felt afterwards didn't make it worth it. I could win the MaxMillions and not buy a 3D tv.

"Cloud Atlas" is a great movie, even better the second time around as it does move at a significant pace, concurrently telling five separate stories in five different time settings, but with recurring themes and characters. Stay for the credits to see the different roles played by the individual actors. Beautiful cinematography, eye candy galore.

I thought so too fluffy. I loved how readily apparent it was that each director (3 total - the Wachowskis and Tom Twyker) each had their own set of time periods to look after, yet they were able to stitch them all together into one fluid piece. It was much better than I had expected.

Recent discovery: "Jesse Stone" movies. A series of eight made-for-TV movies starring Tom Selleck. Good viewing.
