I'll probably get called scrooge for this but we seem to have so many fireworks shows during the year that I shudder when I see all that money literally going up in smoke. Canada Day OK but would rather see the monies spent on a 15 min pyro show go to something lasting or a worthy charity.

I wouldn`t disagree with you but that is off topic. I would be less inclined to call you scrooge and more inclined to call you a thread hijacker.

Apparently the lakeside is promoting fireworks though not a family event.
