Disposing of VHS
How would one go about disposing of VHS tapes? Are they recyclable, or are they garbage? During a hunt for a novel in the storage cubby I happened upon rather a lot of the vhs tapes, home taped and bought. They are taking up space I could use otherwise, so I would like to get rid of them (especially since we now have it all on dvd).
Thanks for any (helpful) input!

The Rutland Thrift Store might take the commercially produced ones. Value Village also will accept them.

There was just an ad on the radio this morning regarding the recyling places in town taking all sorts of items - maybe old tapes are included.

Can still buy VHS camera recorders on kijiji but they get heavy after a while.

As it turns, out, you can take them to the Battery Doctor and they will dispose of them for free. :)
