Re: Teacher bargaining
I think that Fletcher was referring to the "Public Sector Labour Relations Act" created in 1994 under the NDP which provided for this dysfunctional provincial bargaining structure. Few would argue with his claim that the NDP would knuckle under to the BCTF far more readily than would the Liberals. Vander Zalm and the NDP have made quite a team, though, in hurting this province.

Did Carole Taylor and the Liberals "knuckle under" to the BCTF?
All admin. could set a good example by not taking a raise for awhile.
And you are so....ahh forget it...waste of time.

Re: Teacher bargaining
It does not matter who is in power the union has them by the short and curlys ,they have TOO TOO TOO much power. The only way it will change is by teachers standing up to the person who gets them raises and benefits. IF we even think to say a bad word about or to teachers , we fear our kid will receive worse treatment.I m convinced only a day of protest will show teachers we support them but hate their evil greedy union

Guess your kid will just have work to catch up when they go back.
Parents pull their kids out regularly for the silliest reasons.
But if teachers strike a few days the whole system is about to
Collapse-according to some.

Most people are past silly name calling because the person has a different point of view.
But go ahead and keep it up,
More votes for the NDP.

At least they are trying a few different things.
e.g. facilitator right away.
