HAPPY VALLEY GOOSE BAY — An RCMP officer in Labrador has been arrested for child luring over the Internet.

A news release from the Mounties say the officer was arrested Friday and made his first court appearance Saturday morning.

He’ll be held in custody until a bail hearing on Monday in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL.

The RCMP say the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is taking the lead in this investigation.

Police say a court-imposed publication ban prohibits the release of further information.

I'm a little confused as to what your point is.... do you expect better behavior from ha's? or do you think rcmp deserve to be recognized at the same level as them?

just for giggles though... show me one news report about an ha luring children over the internet and i'll quit saying rcmp are lower on the scum scale

CHEYENNE, Wyo. -- A former Nevada brothel owner has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison for his conviction on two child pornography charges in Wyoming.

David Burgess was sentenced Friday in U.S. District Court for possessing and transporting child pornography.

U.S. District Judge Alan B. Johnson also sentenced the 55-year-old Hells Angel motorcycle club member to 10 years of supervision upon his release, lifetime registration as a sex offender and a fine of $20,000.

Investigators found two hard drives containing thousands of images of child pornography in Burgess' motor home after a traffic stop last summer in western Wyoming. A jury convicted Burgess in April on both charges against him.

Burgess' attorney says he will appeal the case.

Read the link Cutter...should have asked what you would do if there were HA child porn convictions...I'm sure I can find more.

As I stated earlier...1% of any selected group is just bad news!! I think that is very safe to say. 1% of Police shouldn't be there, 1% of Catholic Priests shouldn't be there, Doctors, and lawyers the list goes on and on.

PITTSFIELD -- A member of the local Hells Angels is being held on $1 million cash bail on charges of child pornography and extortion, while the search continues for a key witness scheduled to testify against him in a separate upcoming criminal trial and two others.

Adam Lee Hall, shackled and wearing the motorcycle club's T-shirt, arrived at the Berkshire County courthouse complex Tuesday morning under an unusually heavy police presence.

It looks like Coke and Kiddies in that club too!

It would be reasonable for this cop to have bail set at $1 million cash bail on the charges filed against this scum. Sorry....Police Officer......not.

The RCMP officer was arrested Tuesday after an investigation at his residence.

The Mounties said he has not been on active duty since May 2011, although they would not give a reason.

He was suspended with pay on Wednesday after being arrested and is now facing an internal investigation, said RCMP Cpl. Lucy Shorey.

Gets arrested and still gets paid, does that seem right?

I wonder what most rcmp members think of the publicity some of their members are getting these days.... you see.. we expect rcmp to have a screening system capable of weeding out the types of miscreants that are making the news lately, we don't expect it as much from other occupations.
