Well - I broke down and bought a bike on Saturday. 2012 Honda ST1300. Now I need to move everybody else's bikes around in the garage and make space for her. ;)

Thanks! Mine's black, not blue - but yeah, that's the bike. Need to order up a top box from an importer because Honda doesn't actually sell the nice ones in North America. The EU boxes are nice, though:

(I know it says it's for a 2010, but it'll fit just fine)

Actually - I think that's a CB1000 in that pic. Kinda hard to focus on the bike with the eye candy.

As for rides - I actually run group some thursday-night group rides twice monthly, May through September. I might do some Sunday rides again this year (didn't last year). PM for details.

Saw a guy out here in central AB yesterday.
If my bike wasn't apart Id love to go for a spin.
I've been trying to paint my new belt guard gloss black. So far 0 for 2. Both times its going good but when I shoot the clear it crinkles and turns to chit. Strip, sand and repeat. Might be time to throw in the towel get it powder coated.
Other than that I got the new mirrors, and clutch cover on and painted the speedo housing. Close to ordering a power commander, should put er in the 115-120ft lbs range. Best add on of the summer will be blue and white plates.

Drew, thought I read your bike only comes in black, we like pics.

Bring on spring.

Fixer,
Sounds like you are trying to mix base products in your paint process.
Make sure all products are Acrylic based or, ?????? based.
If you mix a laquer base with acrylic it will mottle(sp?) (wrinkle)
Also, if you try to clearcoat too soon after colour coating the clear will
eat into the colour causing issues as well.

Good luck.

Powdercoating is quite inexpensive now, prices have come way down the more
that businesses have popped up.

Thanks DB, I may not have giving the base coat enough time to dry. To excited. Its the only thing I can think of. Same paint, clear brand etc. There is a powder coat place in the north of town Ill check out next set off, twice is enough of stripping, sanding, cleaning, spraying. Hopefully they can give me the wet gloss black Im looking for.

Trying to look like an Indian and it isn't one, kinda like the "indians" they've been building for the last 14 years with S&S HD Evo clone powerplants.

4 hour tour was a claim to fame by Fixer last year when he was showing us all how hardcore he is.

Yep a 4 hour tour. Two up too as I recall. :hailjo:

How's your summer riding been?
Any good trips? What's been your favorite ride?

The Cushman (pictured) probably handles better and not nearly as
likely to melt the back of your leg.

I saw a new black ST 1200 t'day on Benvolin, 36Drew maybe.
