if your preference is to interpret the bid process only to support your preconceived ideas, that’s fine but it hinders your credibility.

It took forever to shoot someone back then. That quote (and the whole amendment) is so outdated. Should everyone be allowed nukes, landmines and drones so we can fight the government? I know everyone thinks they are Rambo but nobody is taking the government down with guns alone in this day and age.

What an irrational rediculous argument your trying to make Jenny, so below your abilities.
You sound just like this Anti-Gun Liberal News Anchor who gets destroyed repeatedly during Interview.

You cannot reason someone out of a position that they did not use reason to arrive at.

I disagree. If the majority of the people (or even a large minority) turn on their own government en masse, they would overpower them without nukes, drones, or machine guns. It happens all the time even in this day and age.

So, domestic terrorism?
Heres a scenario. Rich bankers ruin the world economy, mostly American bankers. Taxdollars bail out bankers, citizens lose their home's, go broke and lose their jobs. Tyrannical government, owned by a few people.
People got mad. They protested. Hippies went to jail for sitting in a park, not a single banker served a day in jail for fraud and ruining a few million peoples life savings. Seems fair.
Why wasn't the NRA arming occupywallstreet?
What did the establishment do to counter the protests? (Poured a few hundred million into media attack/campaigns disinformation)
When has this been used before? (Remember that Nixon had the FBI wiretapping John Lennon)
The minute it gets hot, the government, or rather, the people who own the government will shut it down. They will label the people/group as terrorists, possibly take them out with a drone on American soil, no trial, no court.
It happens all the time even in this day and age.
Yes - it happens all the time Glacier - but its MANUFACTURED that way. Governments are not overthrown unless its beneficial to the other parties involved. Syria would be the most glaring current example, but history is littered with US led "civil wars".

The whole second ammendmendment thing should be interpreted in the context of its writing.
That means I support the right of every American to own a muzzle loading flintlock with a bayonet...anything beyond that is a privelege and should be regulated for the public good.

Houston Group Giving Away Shotguns In High-Crime Neighborhoods To Test If Crime Is Reduced

Well we already know the what the outcome will be, guess the gun grabbers have to have it spelled out for them in big block letters.

Switzerland, safest country in the world, because of gun ownership.
Switzerland has the lowest crime rate in the world, because the people are armed, basic military is mandatory for men,and after wards they are required to keep their weapon at home.A crook will think twice about breaking into houses knowing this, people who think the world should get rid of guns should think again.

If gun ownership is key to a safe country then the US should be safer than Switzerland as the US gun ownership is actually twice that of Switzerland.

Switzerland actually has a higher rate of death by gun than Canada has.

those stats seem to say that both jimsenchuk and goatboy are wrong. ie. no correlation between guns and crime.
