Was this not a Cadillac SUV? If so Cadillac is well known for it's quality and soundproofing, or maybe a silencer was used.
Be careful when you follow the masses.

So far I haven't seen anything mentioning them being shot. If someone murdered two people then crashed their car, I doubt they committed the murders using something as obvious as a gun.

Interestingly, Castanet was apparently in error when stating the fleeing passenger was headed north toward Kelowna.

He was actually headed southwest, onto Daimler, then Bylands Road, across the highway to Ross Road and over to somewhere near Mount Boo. Smack dab in the middle is Cycle Logic.

Meh, probably just coincidence.

The RCMP are not ready to release the names or sex of the two murdered and have not caught the male who took off. Cpl Dan Moskaluk says the public should be vigilant. Hopefully there is some evidence of who the male is at the crime scene.

Could this be related to the chop shop bust recently?

I'd say probably not.....There are hundreds of drug dealers/criminals in Kelowna. Plenty of room in Kelowna's underworld for multiple beefs to play out

Awesome...so he's hiding somewhere close to my place. Good timing on bringing my Pittie back from Alberta this past weekend !

And to those who say a gun wouldn't have been used...how else would you kill two people at one time while driving down the road???

I'm shocked. If I read it correctly, the suspect's last known area was in Mount Boucherie Complex.
We have a possible murder suspect probably armed and dangerous hiding near a high school and yet not one warning notification from the school? I know it was during the middle of the night but a word of caution would have been suffice. Not to mention a fair warning to the general public as well in the morning.
Two people are dead and the suspect is on the loose. The murderer was dangerous prior to the murders and now the murderer is even more dangerous with the fact that he is on the run.
If I had known this earlier, I would not have let my daughter go to school today. Call me paranoid but it's getting really dangerous around here.
My heart goes out to the victims families. Drug related or not, I'm sure they wouldn't have wanted their loved ones to end this way.

Knives are the weapon of choice in 10% more homicides than firearms in Canada.

Wonder if the guy that was running from the scene wasn't picked up eventually by someone. It's amazing how far the dogs tracked him:
"From the scene of the collision, the police dog tracked the suspect into a wooded, landscaped area adjacent to the Terravita complex to a walking trail that led to Bentley Road. From there, the trail continued in a southwest direction on Benteley Road and then Daimler Road.

The trail led the dog team to the Bylands Road area, then across Hwy. 97 to the Ross Road area and eventually to the area around the Mount Boucherie community complex, which includes Royal LePage Place and Mount Boucherie Senior Seconday School."

Heading out of town perhaps?

Lovely... My girlfriend and I are moving into this complex on Saturday. What wonderful timing. Certainly puts a damper on the excitement we have been feeling leading up to the move into this beautiful place.

If those who were killed lived in the unit and were involved in some shady dealings, kinda nice to know they no longer live in the complex... However if they were unfortunate victims of a car jacking gone wrong or something similar my heart goes out to the families. Only time will tell what really happened, and I sincerely hope they find the other passenger as quickly as possible!
