How can we get the message out before it's dry?

Today I saw a driver...not from BC, flicking his ashes from his cigarette out his window. Last year I saw and spoke to another (not from BC) driver who threw his lit cherry onto the road. We were stopped, I asked him he he realized what he was doing, his reply was "I didn't throw the butt out, just the cherry".

I smoke and I am terrified of starting a fire. When I empty my ash tray in my car or house, I put in onto a wet paper towel and leave it in the sink to be sure its out.

Can we somehow ask the province to put up billboards to remind people from our province and visiting our province????

It seems that there are those who, for whatever reason, have brains that have not genetically evolved at the same rate as the majority of people. I believe that you will find that the same small percentage of people refuse or neglect to follow all such identified safety practices.

The only way a "sign" would help them is if you used it to whack them upside the head hard enough to allow natural selection to eliminate that particular regressive genetic string.

i see someone throw a butt out the window every day on my way too or from work.it is dark out and they throw off like 50 little sparks when they hit the road.some people are just dicks.

It's still littering, setting a bad example and practicing a bad habit. People who toss cigarette butts this time of year will also toss them during the summer.
