Wanting to know what the going rate is currently to have a common molar extracted, nothing out of the ordinary.
Further is you have insurance, what do they bill the insurance company.

Depends on your coverage, ours is 70% for most things and 50% on others.
Sorry don't know how much an extraction costs, you would be better to phone your dentist.

There is a hard copy of the Dental Fee Guide at the Library; however, dentists are not obliged to follow it. There is no electronic version of it available.

True but you asked a question that there is no simple answer to other than to call your dentist.
As FF said their is a fee schedule but they all charge what they want.

Just ask your dentist if they charge according to the guidelines in the published fee schedule. Asking random people on castanet is about the worst source of information for something specific like this.
