I believe that this is a common problem all over the Okanagan Lakeshore but that it may also be a Provincial agency that has authority over the law, not the cities.

I think Lake Country took it upon themselves several years ago to remove all.
Typical, the City always likes to put it to someone else. Remove it and put costs on the taxes of the owner. That will speed it up.

The Lake Country situation was limited to properties where they do not meet the foreshore. So, essentially, non-lakeshore properties. For example, the main focus was in OK Centre, along the public stretch where many upland owners put in docks over the years.

That would be a good template for the rest off the lakefront properties.

Just because it is on the foreshore does not mean it isn't private property. Perhaps check out what is approved prior to your destruction. It could get expensive for you.
Approved docks are private property, yet they are on public property. Non conforming structures that were approved in the past could exist and be within the scope of your destructive tendencies.
But, go ahead......it could be interesting. less so for you.

And, just out of curiousity, you feel it is ok to damage someone else's property just because they are not there to witness it?
