I at least provide information and back up my comments. Did you read up on the cases mentioned in the journal?

Usually I don't feed the trolls, but hey, I'm bored this morn.

Maybe you can show me where the term "conspiracy theorist" is in your link, because I can't find it.

You folks 'splitting hairs' and 'duking it out' about the topic being conspiracy 'theorist' or 'theory' -- that is pretty thin gravy. Like the song says about 'Love and Marriage'; you can't have one without the other. :132:

Thank you - I thought my explanation about it was rather obvious.

We are talking the origin of the term "conspiracy theorist" and that label here, not conspiracy theory.

It's been explained - theorist talking of conspiracy theory is a conspiracy theorist. Not a new concept and certainly not invented in 1960's when conspiracy theory is mentioned in the '50's and 1870's and multiple decades prior to that. Might consider it a reinvention if you wish.

Maybe I can make this easier for you.

When was the actual term "conspiracy theorist" coined?

Hint: check the op's post.

You are missing the point and I have explained myself. Conspiracy theorists existed well before 1960's so the term actually existed. Put two and two together.

Well, it's a pretty dull topic. I think the slightly off topic comments have improved the thread greatly...! [icon_lol2.gif]

First one must understand the definition of "theorist" and then put it into practice.

One who discusses theories around conspiracies would be a conspiracy theorist. It's actually pretty easy and basic.
