My husband (whose response to chili is usually *meh*) asked for seconds and actually said "This is really good"!
I have discovered online communities dedicated to Instant Pot, and recipies. There is no shortage of them. I belong to two facebook communities now, and this weekend I hope to have time to plan some menus in advance.
It is true something can cook in 10 minutes - but if it is on pressure setting it takes about 30 minutes to get to pressure.
I can definitely see using this a lot, especially in the summer :)
So from start to finished how long for a meal like this?

I included the wait time in the total. :) Really hard to believe!

The best thing since sliced bread. It's right on the top of my gift list for my family members.

I am! The other night I needed a dinner, so I googled chicken instant pot recipies.
Put some oil, green onion, garlic, ginger and thai chili sauce in on saute. Tossed in chicken thighs, some of which were still partially frozen. Added in the sauce mix (soy sauce, vinegar, sesame oil & sugar) and put on high pressure for 12 mintues. Let it go to warm/natural release for 12 minutes. Bled off the remaining pressure. Shredded the chicken. Threw in some water/cornstarch mix, covered for another 5 minutes. Served with lettuce (as wraps) and rice stick noodles (for my husband). Total time, about half an hour.

Wow! Sounds delicious. And would you make that recipe again?
As WW3 develops, no one is going to be dissing the "preppers." What have you done?

Yes. Given that the family had seconds, and then said more than once "that was pretty good!"

You probably know this already Lady, but in case you don't, there is an Instapot community on FB as well as a group called Instapot Recipes 101.

Re: InstaPot - who has one?
Tonight I got home from work and discovered I had forgotten to plan a meal. =_= Quickly looked up a recipe I had pinned the day before, I was sure I had most of the ingredients.
Put 3 frozen chicken breasts in the instant pot with a cup of water. Added in a block of cream cheese, a packet's worth of ranch dip mix (I have a costco shaker bottle) and a handful of epicure bacon/tomato/leek dip mix. Put it on for an hour, changed and left for zumba.
Came home, opened pot and shredded the chicken (just fell apart!). Added in some pepper, and cornstarch/water mix. Added in some grated cheddar. While that was thickening on warm I cut up tomatoes, celery and cukes. Got some hamburgers buns out, toasted them and called the family. Voila! The recipe is called "crack chicken".
I thought it was "okay". Family loved it though.

So has the Instapot initial excitement worn off any yet or do you still use/love it lots?
