I never knew there was such a thing as "first class" flights

Post by Thinktank »

I thought it was normal the last time I flew on an airplane - Air Transat - on a cheap seven
hour flight to Cuba, when they squeezed people in like sardines and for seven hours I couldn't move.
I just sat there in one position, like a sardine sits there in one position.

I thought that's the way it was supposed to be. Until fifteen years later I saw Casey
Neistat on Youtube - first class on UAE - 41 million poor people have watched the video.

See how nice the stinking rich people have it?
And they have everything nice like that.

How do you feel about that?

I doubt you know any stinking rich people.

The rich people I know or knew are so cheap they wouldn't spend $thousands extra
on first class.

I flew to Europe. It sucked. I CHECKED first class price.. worked out to 50 bux an hour. I DECIDED I could suffer for 50 per.
But I had an ace in the hole.. my sister was a skyhag.. so sometimes she would talk to somebody, and part way into the flight, I got the upgrade WHOO HOOO ! , business class here I come !
One time I got to go in the cockpit, when you still could..pretty cool.
I'd like to help You OUT,
Which way did You come in??

Years back my wife and new son had to go to the Philippines. I drove her to Vancouver Intl airport but got her there too late for her flight. It was obviously my fault and the next flight wasn't until next morning. Even though it was no fault of theirs, The airline put her in a hotel for free with free meal vouchers, had a porter carry all her stuff, put her in first class, and when she arrived at her destination, a porter was waiting to help her carry stuff. It was amazing. I don't think it works like this all the time. lol

If it wasn't for all the unwashed masses in economy there would be more room for us in First Class. :D

Quite a number of passengers flying first or business class are typically non-rev (airline employees, family, etc.), people cashing in on frequent flier points or paying a small upgrade fee.

Thank god for the front of the cabin, it's still somewhat civilized compared to the tourist steerage in the back.

Oh, and too all those who brag about upgrading to "business class or first class" on WestJet, "Plus" is premium economy - nothing worth bragging to your friends about.

A little off topic, but...

Who is this guy? Does he need dental work or have a speech impediment? I can't take my eyes off his car crash of a mouth... it seems odd and the way he talks is really irritating.

I love it. It separates us from the lower class folks

I can't wait until WS starts up a full and proper J cabin and curtain it off so we don't have your type walking up and down the aisle to use our bathroom.

$20 000, not bad - but Ethiad has it better - for $50 000 you get a nice little apartment

Personally, I find the ME3 First Class product to clitchy, I prefer a more refined product such as BA or LH. LH has a solid product, they have their own separate lounge in FRA and when its time to board, a car picks you up and drives you straight to the aircraft. The cabin is much more subtle but the service is top notch.
