Google's Ideological Echo-Chamber
https://www.documentcloud.org/documents ... amber.html
This is about a 20 minute read depending on your comprehension, but I highly recommend it for anyone who is interested in the gender or sexism discussion. If you're not aware of this at all upon reading it, definitely do a google search after and look at the fallout.
Context: A software engineer at google wrote and released this internally which was then leaked.

Re: Google's Ideological Echo-Chamber
The author does try to come across very objective with this document but he hit on a topic where people will react from a subjective point-of-view ... ideally this would have been better published outside the company but without the intrigue I doubt it would have gotten the audience it has
He's describing the whole issue around "politically correctness" with more granularity than most people will allow it within their lifetimes ... but for people to use this as a starting point of the discussion they have to separate themselves from the groups discussed within it and that's a tough proposition for the majority, self-introspection is a lost talent
And then there's the conspiracy theorist in the back of my head who see's this in a darker light ...

And now the guy has been fired, proving the validity of what he wrote.
