And do you think they should be rounded up and dropped off on the tarmac in Port au Prince? Because I think Criminals should be rounded up and dropped off in huge enclosed prisons. That murderers should have capital punishment applied. That addicts need to be prevented from being prey on the streets for the pushers and sellers of death.
But these Haitians? Are they criminals by not wanting to be deported back to the most backward island in the Caribbean? Where they know they'll be basically sentenced to a death like existence? Have you seen the photos?
Then you send them back to the US. They are not allowed to claim refugee status by coming from the US.

No just into the hands of the deportation officials who are going to send them back to what is basically a island of destruction.

Re: 150 asylum requests a day
We shouldn't be allowing folks to illegally cross the border and then claim refugee status when we know full well that they are not refugees. These people are coming from the United States of America for goodness sake, not from some god forsaken country that is threatening to kill them.
We may not like Trump or his politics, but that doesn't make the U.S. an unsafe place for these people. There is no evidence that ANY of them have been unfairly denied refugee status in the United States, yet our Officials appear to be welcoming them into our country when they cross our border illegally.
It's been stated that most of them will eventually be returned to their country of origin (having deliberately thrown away their opportunity to be given refugee status in the United States), and I think it's time that fact is publicized more so that all those considering coming here illegally become aware of it.
I also think the RCMP should be given the discretion to stop people crossing if they can't provide a very good reason for entering illegally.

I actually don't like it either.
But take a look at Haiti, that's where they will be deported to. It's as good as death and destruction for them.

They should have thought of that before they threw away their opportunity to obtain refugee status in the United States.

why were they here in the first place? What was the plan??? Was Hilary just going to grant mass amnesty to all of them? If so, why?

Doesn't matter if you are for or against illegal immigration...
The bottom line is, we cannot facilitate these kinds of numbers. That's just staggering. The amount of social assistance and tax dollars going to this will be insane
3000 people in a month is just backbreaking if it continues

Why? I live in a country where human rights and law is the foundation currently. An asylum seeker from anywhere is allowed to plead their case. Unless one doesn't believe in those concepts?
