Is it not time that it was $1,000 fine per infraction?

Multiple infractions - lose your licence for 12 months. Caught again after that within three years - lose your licence for 3 years.

It's an absolute epidemic of stupidity and entitlement.

I seem to remember the fines along with points going up.. did this happen or no? Just saying so, as the driver in the article that had been caught 5 times should be receiving a hefty bill, along with points according to the article below from last year.

If it is still as the CBC article states, I find Castanets vague reference to the fine levels to be lacking a bit in their article, not a big deal, but some food for thought at least.

The light turned green several seconds ago, PAY ATTENTION!!! *bleep* !

Heavy, slow traffic, someone approaches to leave a business lot, I slow to allow them the space.

Goof glances at the traffic build up and then goes straight to their electronics, when that happens they have now
missed the fact a little flow courtesy was even extended their way.

This has happened with enough frequency that I'm really going to consider not extending the
courtesy from now on.
