Re: Scheer's policy failure
It's pretty obvious that the party brass sat him down right after they took down his website and showed him the polling numbers. They told him that if he took the party down his extreme religious right-wing path that the party was doomed. So he's had to put those plans away......... while the electorate still holds the cards. If we elect this guy, expect him to rip off his fake smiling rubber mask and you'll see someone even farther to the right than Steve.

Andrew Scheer shows he's out of touch. And that a Scheer Government, like the Harper Government would operate on ideology as opposed to evidence.

Re: Scheer's policy failure
If you look at the campaign, he was fairly moderate. You had the extreme Trump-style candidates like Leitch and O'Leary. Then you had the extreme libertarian, Maxime Bernier. And you have the likes of Pierre Lemieux who wants to move the party more socially conservative.
Scheer came up the middle. While he might be more socially conservative than you and your buddy Donald Trump are, he doesn't want to act on it by banning gay marriage, etc., Maxime Bernier was too libertarian to win in a general election, so conservatives went with the safe -- dare I say, conservative -- choice.
I don't know that he was the right choice, and he wouldn't have been my first choice, but I can understand why the cons chose him.

Yes but the campaign continues Glacier. It cannot end if you want rational thought to exist. Hate and insults and calling people bigot, racist Hitler etc etc too all ends must not stop or someone might actually listen to a message that actually isn't filled with hate.
Those who hate the most need hate to keep going, or they lose the power that allows their hate.

We can only hope.

Out of touch with really stupid people maybe, and I'm ok with that.

andy andy tsk tsk
Conservative leader Andrew Scheer's pick for Status of Women "Shadow Minister" is a vocal supporter of legislation restricting women's access to abortions.
Rachael Harder, an Alberta-based Conservative MP, was appointed the Conservative Shadow Cabinet Minister for Status of Women Wednesday despite a well-documented record opposing the reproductive rights of women.
it is possible andy is secretly working for jt . nothing else can really explain such a stupid move.

If Rachel is a woman, isn't she entitled to her view? If it's not what Canadians want, then they won't vote for her/them. It's that simple. Just like I won't vote NDP in BC because they practice racism and sexism in their disgusting nomination policies. Tsk tsk tsk
