Will all the smoke this year affect grapes in the Okanagan?

2003 Oculus. $70
2003 was a particularly hot year in the Okanagan. Complex Bordeaux style nose with an interplay of muted dark red fruit and notes of tar. Fairly smooth on the palate, with acidity and tannins both high. Surprisingly little fruit in the middle, though there are cherry notes over the tar and smoke. There's a nice lingering finish of figs and ripe cherries. 89 points.
