Kelowna was tied for the least snowy place in Canada this summer, but also the 4th driest place in Canada...

It's just to the north of us. Salmon Arm is supposed to get quite a lot today and tonight.

P.S. On average, September and October are the driest months of the year on the South Okanagan. For the coast, the summers are the driest and for most of the rest of the province, it's February-March.

The Pacific water temperature is currently well below average, which typically means we're in for a fairly dry winter with not a lot of snow... but that's no guarantee.
