Did some eggs today a swell but haven't peeled any to see how they did. Ribs the other night and corn on the cob tonight. Tried Steel Cut Oats today as a test and forgot the sealing gasket...oops! Messy.

oh my! That would be messy!

I've heard a lot of people buy two gaskets, one for savoury and one for sweet. What do you think, Bsuds? I am not really wanting to go online for accessories. Homesense has a 7" springform pan so I can try a cheesecake now (maybe this weekend?). It also has a second bottom insert so I can do a bundt style as well all for $7.99 + tax. I have the steamer that opens up like a flower (my most recent one I found at the dollar store by Costco, the one before it lasted about 20 years). That was about $5.

Pot-in-Pot (PIP) cooking works really well, I did a batch of scalloped potatoes and needed to cook 2 at the same time (and will have to start cutting down that recipe). Put the trivet in, water, cassarole, then chopsticks across the top, another small cassarole and seal. Best scalloped potatoes I've ever made - though I did put them on broil afterwards to crisp up the top.
I haven't failed until I quit.

I ordered 2 spare gaskets on Amazon and a steamer basket. A 6" pan with removable bottom from China but haven't tried it yet.
Made Chili tonight and it came out quite good. Did my own recipe for it. Did Ribs a couple of days ago but I think I had them on the BBQ too long waiting for the corn to cook so they were a bit dry. I think I would do the corn in the steamer next time.

Experimenting the other day and did PIP Rice which came out perfect and Steel cut Oats which was very good too.
Keeping track of how long it takes things to cook from start to finish so I can have everything ready at the same time.

Also got one for $79 to give as a Christmas present.

I just got mine yesterday. Made chicken curry and rice. Took 15 minutes to cook including pressurizing time and came out delicious.

Chicken noodle soup. Fresh made really hits the spot when you're sick.

I am hoping that the soup worked its magic on you!

No, but the antibiotics are really helping

It is the only thing my daughter could eat for a few days as well - I had pneumonia, she had a rotavirus.

Hope you are getting better.

I made Chili yesterday but used it on the slow cooker setting.

Made herbed pork tenderloin tonight. Pressure cooked for 15 minutes and simmered gravy for 5. It was delicious. Might try throwing veggies right in with it next time.

If you do the veggies the full 15 min they turn to mush.
