The Pot industry has been trying to become legit for a long time and have won that battle, yet places like these can't follow the rules.

thats the problem . the way its set up now is criminal . people are not getting proper medicine because the way its set up .

The video seeks to dispel the notion that parents who give cannabis to their children are trying to get them high. In reality, they are trying to help them live normal lives by using what is sometimes the only effective treatment for debilitating, uncontrolled seizures.
The oil is made from cannabidiol, or CBD, a non-psychoactive concentrate derived from marijuana. It is created using special strains of cannabis specifically grown to contain only trace amounts of tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, the chemical that causes the stoned effects commonly associated with the plant.
In the video, Dr. Linda Laux, a researcher at Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago, recounts seeing children become more verbal and gaining coordination while taking CBD oil. And a study published in this month’s Epilepsy & Behavior showed that CBD treatment improved seizures in 57 percent of children to which it was administered, corroborating anecdotal reports and other studies that have shown similar results.
Twenty-three states plus Washington, D.C. have legalized medical marijuana, and an additional 13 have allowed the use of CBD treatments in limited circumstances. Even where it’s legal, however, families sometimes have to overcome numerous bureaucratic obstacles to obtain the medicine for their children — not to mention the fact that it remains illegal under federal law.
If parents treat their children with CBD in states where it is illegal, they risk serving jail time or having their kids taken away from them, such as in the case of a Minnesota woman who narrowly avoided prosecution for using cannabis to ameliorate her son’s seizures.

Save us on the unsafe bs, we live in a society where thousands of people die everyday due to cigarette smoking related illnesses, which are sold legally and used at the discretion of the user. Not to mention how many are addicted to pharmaceutical painkillers and alcohol addiction. I think the dangerous REGULATED products around us are the real issue.

Protect the children is such a line of crap. How about its the responsibility of the parents of the childern to protect them. In Vernon theres a liquor store and a store that sells cigarettes across the street from Seaton high school. Are these childern/teens in danger or need protection from these places?

Hopefully in the end this means that those who chose to have an illegal storefront will at the very least have a more difficult time getting involved in the sale when legal.

I'm very surprised at the number of uninformed people about cannabis. Not everyone who uses cannabis wants to get high. Many are using the CBD products (non psychoactive ((doesn't make you high))) for medicinal purposes. Pain management, insomnia, etc. some are using THC for medicinal purposes too ie: cancer. These people would like to see pot shops open, regulated and licensed. Many are very professional and care deeply about their clients. So, let's not colour everyone with the same brush. Be fair.

How does one know they are buying from approved growers? You assume they are. Recently product which was being sold as a given THC and CBD level was analyzed, and it was not. IF what you are suggesting then how can this be approved manufacturers?
