Your totally missing the point Fancy. Have you ever seen or been around a small child? They are usually not tied up on a leash and are often very unpredictable and could easily run up and startle a dog like this.

Yes, in fact, I raised four of them.
NEVER, not once in all those years of raising young children, did they ever run around out of control in public or run up and bother strange dogs.

Odd isn't it...how responsibly raising your children and your pets works that way ?

Your missing the big picture here people haha, it blows my mind how people can continue to defend these dogs. People are busy and a family with multiple kids heading in to check in may lose track of a kid for a few seconds.

Cop out. There is no excuse for not looking after a child especially in different surroundings.

Media attention and sometimes misidentification. Other breeds have been a problem but they don't make the news.

Important points people seem to be missing:
1) every dog MUST be under the owner's control at all times
2) leashes are mandatory in most areas (outside of off leash dog parks and of course your own property) which must be 2 meters or less
3) all dogs require licences that must be worn at all times

In Switzerland you must get training and a license to own a dog. From what our friends tell us, less people own dogs because of this and the ones that do are responsible about it.

If they are on the top of the list, I agree, but I don't see them on this list. Hard to see past the first dog breed on this list.

There are so many badly bred dogs out there, both purebred and mixed breed, that training isn’t always going to solve their issues.

Since husky-types have killed more Canadians than any other breed, I question that list.

Look up Dog breeds that bite the most. They may not kill but they are more aggressive. (miserable little mutts IMO)
