No news yet, because it hasn't been posted yet. However, it's only reasonable to think there will be more layoffs in winter. I think you've mentioned that you've worked on construction sites previously, and some of those sites must have been in northern climates. The workers I've known have always had layoffs in the winter. You must have been very fortunate if you never had that experience.

Like I said it is normal. Yes I was lucky because when I hit the site most of my work was year around. You have to remember that the forecast man hours for the job take all of that into consideration. Totally normal, not new news, but I think you knew that.

FWIW I happen to think only a truly sick mind can be so happy about 2000 people losing their jobs.

What I know is what I wrote. There are always layoffs in the winter to a construction site in northern climates such as the Peace. I find it odd that anyone would continue to post employment stats for the summer months. Well, maybe not so odd on this thread.

So, the 2016 stats are too old, and now the latest available for Sept. 2017 are from the Summer months.

Even if they lay off those 60 concrete specialists, the change from 2016 to 2017 is still up 650 jobs.
