So its OK to mine, dig up ecosystems and pollute the environment for one resource, but no fort another just because it suits your illogical agenda?

Wow - that post is the very definition of pot calling the kettle black

Oil in Alberta will be mined for a very, very long time - long after you and I are gone my dear. And the kicker is, with new sites going up in the coming years, and existing sites boosting production - the oil patch will be a very large part of the Canadian economy for years to come.

Sorry MJ, Vegas isn't the delusional one

MJ, it's the oil sands......and I suggest you do a bit of reading on how much oil is actually left in the OIL SANDS before you make a comment like that....

Face it MJ oil is going to be extracted from the oil sands until it's gone, if you don't believe that you are delusional. And that is a fact contrary to your fantasy

The Athabasca Oil Sands have an estimated 173 billion barrels of oil, which will take 170 years to mine. Current sites have a lifespan of 50 years minimum. I think we're good on that end

As for cleaning things up, the oil companies themselves are getting much, much better at cleaning things up. Who's gonna clean up the mess the cobalt mines leave behind?
