Just say NO. If only it were that easy.

We have an ugly situation developing and are hamstrung by our own laws.

If this was happening on stage it would be called a black comedy.

My poor country.

Linda Frum is a Cinservative Senate member who has called a spade a spade multiple times, much to government's dismay.

Her article, published in today's Toronto Sun and Vancouver Province states that a law was passed a couple of years ago making it Illegal for people to leave Canada and commit acts of terror elsewhere.

So, that means government is knowingly and willfully allowing the return of murderers to our soil.

As I haven't figured out linking on ipad, perhaps next person could do so for me, thank you

Google Frum: there's nothing Islamophobic about arresting ISIS

You mean a person of colour comedy right? Remember the modern world means absolutely nothing can be said that could possibly be taken out of context to justify some SJW's messed up agenda.
Why use a big word when a diminutive one will suffice.

It is just the strangest thing, isn't it? The government is actually breaking its own laws!

Totally baffling.

Should just one of these ISIS monsters go on a shooting rampage or bombing spree as they've been carefully taught to do, JT may be able to squeeze out a dramatic tear for the cameras, but which side will he be apologizing to? Quite the scenario being set up for Act II.

Again: this government has gone to war with its citizens.

Good thing Justin is forcing laws on law biding citizens. The new law sure isn't keeping hand guns from the criminals. Way to go Justin. Girly boy strikes out again.

I’m having trouble figuring out how the cops removing a large supply of firearms from the black market can possibly be construed as a bad thing, or worthy of misogynistic name calling.

The new law truly is *bleep*, but what's with this girly boy business and your obsession with Trudeau? Are you okay?

Hmmm... and those pretty multi-colored handguns were so easy to get the excited states? Don't suppose what you are pointing at is symptom of the stupid US laws that allow deranged people to buy AR-15s with bump stocks do you?

Guns are not the problem - it's the people using them.

Until our society is civilized enough that we can eliminate the psychopaths, drug dealers and other low life of society, then guns will always have a place for protection of you and your loved one's.

Sure there will always be exceptions to the rule, but you can't predict everything, and if you really want someone dead, there are hundreds of other methods that are just as effective. Robert Pickton is a prime example.

Let's face it, under Canadian Law, our "Police State" won't allow us to protect our own property and lives of our loved one's from a threat by any means, but a person picking up a pile of money from a major corporation can, and with a "Hand Gun" strapped to his/her belt - in public!

So, it would appear, Corporate Money is more important than your risk of being a victim of a home invasion, which is a hell of a lot more common than an armoured car robbery. Why? Because most people are unarmed and easy targets - Armoured Car employees "aren't"!

Guns are not only for protection and hunting - they are also a sport item. They even have a place in the Olympics ( Biathlon????), and some people are serious about that sport, and their skill at using them.

When I was a kid, there were few "Laws" surrounding gun ownership, and few problems, with the exception of the criminal element - but back then, we had the "Death Penalty" - today, the justice system is nothing more than a swinging door.
Compliance is a tool used by dictators, to take your freedom and never give it back.
Enjoy your new "Slave State"!

^^ and having owned guns for 50+ years, I have no problem with Canada's gun laws.

I know, it is the irresponsible that create problems for the responsible in terms of needing laws - but it has ever been thus. So get used to the laws, and work within them. It ain't that hard.

Trudeau's new gun law is unadulterated politics..nothing more! It has no more chance of reducing gun violence in this country than did the old long gun registry. I wonder what is wrong with these dummies that they can't understand that the criminal element could care less about firearms laws. The guns that gangs and other criminals are arming themselves with are not purchased in legitimate sporting goods stores. This country already has sufficient laws dealing with the acquisition and possession of restricted firearms and with their safe and secure storage. The criminal element has no problem acquiring restricted firearms that are smuggled into Canada from the USA. Trudeau's proposed legislation will only accomplish one thing: increase the price of illegal firearms in Canada... the black market trade in guns will become a more lucrative money maker for those smuggling and dealing in them. One would think that the last billion dollar fiasco of a long gun registry would have taught these idiots something.

I’m not sure of the logic behind “law abiding” gun owners who don’t vouche for laws targeting criminal and gang possession of firearms.
