What would you do ?

Because I know the people on here have all most all of the answers, here am I....

My main windows look into my next door neighbours yard. They are not approachable people, I have tried.
They have a new carriage house and have moved in. The bathroom faces my house (and damn near every window I have). They built the house tall much to every other neighbours dislike because the view got lost totally. None of this is the problem here:::: sort of.

Okay now, it is 6:10 pm and just like every night 'he' showers. Just like every night the bathroom light is on (no s*#t its dark).
Now I am not sure if there is a step to get into their shower but I will say most likely yes. The light they installed in this room is closer to the door than the window, where the shower is.
As I sit here and look to my right I can see a very fine man, totally naked and showering. He is a dark hairy soul...........

Now this is a nightly thing, cudos for being clean BUT *bleep* am I supposed to do here? There is a walking path within sight of this and I have heard many many many people giggling and taking pictures of this. My other neighbours hate that these people took the view away and say to just leave them to youtube and let karma complete itself.

NOW,, since I've started to write this, mr mr has had his wife join him...how romantic... This is not my thing. What does one do here? I have people coming for the holidays and every window shows the show. I have sheers so I can see out but a lit up window shows huge.

Like I said , these people are not really approachable. Yes they have a frosted window, but the way they installed the bathroom light makes them show up like the BATMAN symbol......

No I will not take pictures for all you closet pervs. No I will not drop a note over the back fence, the dogs would chew my arm off.

Should I just sit back and enjoy the show? Ignore it all like my husband says? Should I be a real cow and post pictures to youtube? Like I said EVERY window. Every day. We are planning on moving in the spring, should I just ignore/watch/glance and let the new owners enjoy their built in porn show?

I think you are overreacting. If it's frosted, you shouldn't be able to see much.

Maybe replace your sheer curtains with ones that are a bit more solid? If you can see them, they can probably see you also.

In some countries this would be considered illegal activity, but not sure about Canada. Maybe it's worth a call to the local RCMP, or to City Bylaw. Sounds like you have yourself some ignorant neighbours. Good luck!

I smell exaggeration. How big is their bathroom window that you can see so much through frosted glass? It seems like at most you'd see silhouettes and they'd have to have a pretty powerful backlight and be very close to the window to show any kind of detail at all. Maybe just for the fraction of the day that your neighbour is showering, make a point of not looking. If it's really as bad as you say, get some proper curtains and close them at night. Food for thought: they can see through your sheers at night better than you can see through the frosted glass.

Put reflective film on all the windows and keep your lights down low. This way, they also see the reflection of what you see.

sounds like you need to retreat in to your safe space until shower time is over instead of staring out the window at the same time every night so you can have something to be outraged about
