Elected Officials make me Laugh

So a while back, the city decided all pot shops should close.
But now if they become legal they want their share of the tax revenue.
But not the 25 percent the Government suggests our Mayor wants or thinks a third is a better idea.
First they want them out, but if they come back they want their money.

Typical of this bunch, and people will remember at election time..

Good on them grabbing for the gold.

Just think what they (we) could afford. Some decadent new art projects.
A traffic light at every intersection. A few self promotional billboards.
The list is endless..

Don't want to pay the tax ? Grow 4 plants of your own.

I was quite surprised to read our fair City gets 0% revenue cut from taxes
collected on booze.

That's sure missing the boat.

And to add, there is a commision in place that lobbies Gov't on behalf of
Municipalities.

The only reason this hit the news was to provide a photo op for Mayor Basaran.

It's not legal until they are approved by the Provincial Government.
