No harm intended it was meant light hearted...wow. They are warning about aluminum foil but nothing conclusive.
Enjoy your pizza.

I think some on here have been using too much foil in their food and not enough on their heads.

Wanna bet?
I kid. Parchment paper may be a better option than aluminum. That's what I use instead of cornmeal. Transferring the pizza from the peel to the stone/steel is the worst part of the whole processs, imo. I just pull the paper out from under the pizza after 30-60sec.
Anyone got a favourite dough recipe?

Re: How do you cook a pizza?
Here ya go Sudsy. Vito was our next door neighbour and always brought over pizza when he made them. Finally got the recipe from him when we moved. Have a recipe using SAF yeast - will look for it and post later.
Vito’s Thin and Crispy Pizza
3-1/2 cups flour
3/4 cup whole wheat flour
2 tsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1-2/3 - 2 cups warm water
2 tsp. olive oil
1 pkg. yeast
Add yeast, sugar and 1/4 cup of the water to a small bowl and let set for 5 minutes. Mixture should start to bubble. Add flours, salt to a large bowl. Mix well. Add remaining water and yeast mixture and mix well. Dough will be very wet. Place dough onto a floured board and knead adding up to 1/2 cup additional flour. Knead for 7-10 minutes until smooth and satiny. Place dough into a greased bowl and let rise 2 hours.
Divide dough into 4 pieces. Roll out very thin, until you can almost see through it, but not quite. Add your favorite sauce and toppings - tomato sauce. mozzarella, mushrooms, pepperoni, onions, bacon, sausage, peppers, black olives. Bake in a 450°F oven on a heated pizza stone for 8-10 minutes. The pizza stone needs to be in the oven heating 1/2 hour before you are ready to bake the pizza.
Silician Pizza Dough
1 pkg. (1 tbsp.) dry yeast
1/2 cup + 2 tbsp. warm water, 105-115°F
1 tbsp. olive oil
1/8 tsp. salt
1-1/2 cups flour
In large bowl, proof yeast in warm water, olive oil and salt until frothy. Add flour; mix to incorporate; remove from bowl and knead until smooth and elastic. Place dough in greased bowl; cover; let rise until double; punch down and form crust.

We can't make homemade pizza unless there's at least one can of pineapple in the house. And ham.
Blasphemy to say otherwise.
