If this guy would focus a bit more on the relationship and the woman he's with, and not be in such a rush over getting sex from some woman, I think he'd be a lot less confused about what is sexual abuse and what is consensual sex.

Re: #MeToo
She will sing a different tune after she's sexually assaulted.
Imagine the hue and cry if a woman posted a similar video on the MenToo thread. Think about why women are not doing that, because we all know, there but for the grace of God, we understand how the victimization works. That this woman would be so cruel, smugly, and uncaring about other women (and presumably also men) who have reported, makes me ill. She is actually deliberately revictimizing women for reporting. And still people wonder why so many women don't report. So sad.

Re: #MeToo
Why assume that she has never been assaulted?
She is speaking of "sexing your way to the "top". using sex, sex appeal, nudity etc for advancement, money, attention and ultimately for power. She is speaking of the pure stupidity of going to a private hotel room with someone. Especially someone that you are using for attention, future, power and money. That is just plain stupid on anyone's part.
She makes it clear that any assault should be reported immediately and punishment should take place. Didn't she?
A hero for coming out 20 years later after one has achieved all the money and fame they were after in the first place and have now achieved using these principals and assets? That's brave? She states that true bravery would be standing up to it the minute it happens and protecting others.
I believe she has a great message and speaks honestly about these issues.
If more were like her just maybe we could get to a solution faster.

Re: #MeToo
It seems the people who were there see it a lot differently than the people totally removed from it and who know nothing about what really was happening.

Re: #MeToo
This whole "movement" is just like everything from Antifa or the left in general.
If you disagree with ANY part of it or try to offer an opinion that differs in even just a tiny fraction of it... then you're immediately part of the problem, a sexist, a closet rapist, etc....
Unless you believe the same thing as them, there's really no point in even discussing it. You're wrong, no matter what

I don't see any "blurring of the boundaries" between sexual harassement and sexual assault by the women reporting. There are many who report sexual harassment, and what that is has already been discussed at length. There are also many who report sexual assault (perhaps not as common, but still affects many women (and men btw). Obviously being harassed is a more continual disturbance to someone's wellbeing, perhaps not as physically harmful, but longterm, certainly a mental stress.
Now that people are discussing these offences (in unprecedented numbers) and how they affected those offended against, suddenly that is now being seen as worse than the original offence in the first place. Now it's not Weinstein and all the perpetrators. that are the bad guys, it's the people he harassed and assaulted (and no those are not the same things). I don't hear anyone claiming that the men or boys who were victimized are somehow relishing their "victimhood", no because they must have really suffered, real anguish when they were harassed or assaulted, but the women were asking for it, and relish sharing their misery. What a load of cr@p.
For all those out there who have experienced these horrible and traumatizing behaviors at the hands of others, I want you to know that you have the support of most caring and concerned individuals and without your ongoing willingness to share your experiences, the perpetrators will continue to do what they do, because they think they can carry on without any repercussions whatsoever, and they believe that all those reporting will be shamed into silence. I certainly hope not, because that would serve their twisted intentions only too well.
It is a sad state of affairs when we have people supporting the offenders and attacking the victims, simply for telling their stories. And that includes all victims, the grown up adults who were molested when they were young, the adults, the First Nations at the hands of the white settlers, those who are victims of racial injustice. If they can't at least tell their stories, nothing is going to change, and it is we as a society who should be ashamed, not the victims.
