Messages sitting in Outbox?
They sit there after being sent. Then they're not in the sent messages folder. But they don't go anywhere.
Dead messages.
Why? How to send them....?

Hi, I don't think they go anywhere until your recieving poster picks them up. They really do sit there coloured red until they are read by your intended.
I log in and out all the time and come back to messeges awaiting all the time. That's the first thing I do, is pick them up.

I don't know but, do they sit there when the receiver does not have their PM feature activated? All of my sent and received messages are picked up.

Could be too that their mailbox is full and it needs to be cleaned out.

They sit until whoever you sent them to reads them, then they go to your sent box. :)

Some folks just don't care and never read them. If I see something has been sitting in my outbox too long I will delete it.
It's usually not something all that important anyway.
My Wife just stopped and said "you weren't even listening were you?"
I thought to myself, that's a weird way to start a conversation.

Re: Messages sitting in Outbox?
I sent someone a message that sat for 6 days.
Now it is gone.
NO, it's really gone. I can't even review it. Usually it's in the 'Sent Messages' box and I can re-read them.
Not this one. It's disappeared.
Completely. What's happened? Can a poster request to Admins to have a message be removed without reading or opening? So it doesn't appear anywhere?

Re: Messages sitting in Outbox?
that is weird - I have a couple in my inbox but I don't trust the sender so I won't read them. I still have the ones I've sent available for me to read.

You can delete them without reading them. You can also block posters from sending you messages.

What kind of gutless, spineless, snowflake does that?

Re: Messages sitting in Outbox?
Nah - the two of them can look at their messages in their outbox until the cows come home. I've warned them and I don't have the curiosity of a cat that needs to look at something that is probably inappropriate. 99% of posters that message me I have no problem with as I've had a chance to get to know them and those messages will remain private. It is weird though that you can't read your sent messages.

No, I can't remove messages like that. And if I could I wouldn't.

My guess would be that it was deleted by the recipient.
