To the person who drove into my parked car...

Post by StraitTalk »

Thank you for leaving a note with your contact information and name on it so that you could take full responsibility for your accident. I will do everything in my power to find a low quote so you can pay outside of your insurance. :130:

KPC on Enterprise. I took my vehicle there when someone hit it and also had someone take their vehicle their after I hit them. Both times I got great service and a fair price.

Did you try their contact info? I had this happen to a friend and it was a fake name and number. It was done so it appeared that the offender was leaving a note.

Kelowna Performance Collision on Enterprise

I had to pay to fix someone’s mirror on their truck that I had clipped. KPC gave me an estimate to fix the mirror but then it turned out the truck required a more expensive mirror as there was all of the electronics in it. Knowing that I was paying out-of-pocket for this repair they helped me out and only charge me for the expensive mirror and did not charge me for any labor.

I have been in contact with the other party and they did call ICBC and take full responsibility.

Good for you! Good for them! It's great to hear that their are still some that take responsibility for their actions seriously. They are a very rare person these days.

I'm pretty sure it DID happen to me. Brand new car - not even 4000 km on it. Parked in front of the casino at The Grand, came back to the car to find this note on my windshield saying they saw the car that hit me, they even followed it and took pictures of the rear of the car. They left their phone number . Mmmmm... ICBC nor Rcmp able to indentify blurry plate.
I contacted the people but they seemed very reluctant to give me or the Rcmp/ICBC more info.

In hindsight I think it was them that did it and tried to cover up as it was in broad daylight with lots of people around.

Same thing happened to my mom a couple years ago in vernon. The guy couldn't stop in time or something, took the only exit he had and hit my moms car. He went to the rcmp right away reported the accident and even left a note. He felt really bad about what happened.

At the end of the day it's just human decency but boy is that rare these days.

I like to believe that most people are decent.

Just hard to see them all when the scuzzy one is blocking the view.
