The 'small guy' better make his money quick because I think that in a short time the big stores will corner the market. A few years at the most, imho.

Actually the BC government said they were going to allow a mix of government and private distribution. So we'll likely see everything from pharmacies to liquor stores to bud stores, that guys just out of business for a few months unless he screws himself.

Private distribution in the alcohol market is also know as cold beer and wine stores. These will be the guys that will most likely be selling pot as private distributors. Not saying there won't be other outlets, but bringing in a lawyer and threatening lawsuits won't help anyone's application.

I doubt you are correct on this having Canada import. BC Bud is the desired as we know and Trudeau will have a Terrif on Cannabis so that it won't work south to the north.

I don't smoke the reefer so I don't really care about the topic, I say smoke it if you have it. What I do care about is over reaching government, move your "dispensaries to native land" get away from local government that puts it's nose into everybody's business.

The cops finally got around to shutting down an illegal pot marketplace in Vancouver. *bleep*? If someone set up a table and started selling homemade hooch, how long do you think it would take for the police to arrive?

I have no sympathy for someone who just starts selling marijuana without proper permits and licensing. You can't just sell booze or tobacco, why would they think pot is any different?

These people are crazy, I'm as pro legalization / casualization of marijuana as you can get but what the hell guys. Aside from just being a stupid idea they also set it up in the most ridiculous spot they could..

it looks like it will still be illegal to grow in your own yard.. next the feds will try to make it only legal to grow in ontario... and let them run the market just like tobacco. and have to sask federal police force to enforce it all out west.. let the east run that as well. that way bc will be left out of a billion dollar a year business after all most of it originated out here.watch and see how the east will screw the west out of this industry

Until it's legal, there shouldn't be any stores or dispensaries. Once it's legal, then, in my opinion, it should be handled the same as liquor for recreational use (ie: liquor stores, whether private or Government) and pharmacy for medical. I mean, you can buy Oxy on the street too, but it's not legal to do that.

It should require a course, similar to a pharmacist's course (8 years) as you are dispensing a narcotic. I don't think that the fact that Billy smoked a lot when he was younger and maybe still does, counts as being schooled in the product. It would be akin to an alcoholic opening a bar (which some do, but it never works) or a gambling addict opening a casino, but neither of them are dispensing a drug for medicinal purposes. It should require a prescription from a medical professional, and it should be dispensed appropriately. There also needs to be regulations on the production, same as any other product that is consumed.

Here's what it takes to become a pharmacist.

Can you provide a link to the illegality of growing your own? I hope that's not true, I've already ordered my clones.

All I can say about pot is it STINKS ...

And you can shove the medical "benefits" of smoking it up your yang.. Smoking ANYTHING is harmful because human lungs just . aren't . meant . to take in and process smoke of any kind INCLUDING "vaping"..

Eating it may be fine , I'll give you that but all you pot smokers .... well ... you STINK .. straight up .
