Would you like some yeloow dye with your french fries?

Post by Thinktank »

Potatoes, Vegetable Oil (Canola Oil, Soybean Oil, Hydrogenated Soybean Oil, Natural Beef Flavor [Wheat and Milk Derivatives]*, Citric Acid [Preservative]), Dextrose, Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate (Maintain Color), Salt. Prepared in Vegetable Oil: Canola Oil, Corn Oil, Soybean Oil, Hydrogenated Soybean Oil with TBHQ and Citric Acid added to preserve freshness. Dimethylpolysiloxane added as an antifoaming agent.

^ That's silly putty. Don't tell me it's necessary. We have six billion people on earth, and they all eat fried foods
and not one of them needs "antifoaming." It's time the sheeple started standing up for themselves and demanding
better food.

Some places put yellow dye in their fries. That's absurd. Do you want yellow dye in your fries?
Tell us. Discuss.

billions of people don't need antifoaming in the oil. Why do we?

Good news though:

Researchers at Yokohama National University found that when they used the chemical dimethylpolysiloxane — found in silicone, which is added to oil to cook french fries at the fast-food restaurant, according to the Evening Standard — they could mass produce hair follicles that could grow hair when transplanted into mice.

Dimethylpolysiloxane is a component of our vegetable oil. It's there in only a small amount but it has a large role - to prevent our oil from foaming and boiling over, which would be a serious safety risk for our crew. Other uses of dimethylpolysiloxane include being used in chewing gum base, in molasses, soft drinks, wine fermentation, soups, and curing solutions.

You have to be kidding me. I put a weird ingredient in my mouth, so they can make more profit. Because they
want to sell huge volumes of stuff (for profit) I go and eat their un natural ingredients.

And the yellow dye - I eat it so they can make more sales and more profit.

So the sheeple deserve exactly what they get, because sheeple will do whatever they're told to do - without questioning -
including putting stuff in their stomach - for another guy's profit.

Wow.

(Wow smiley - if we had one)

And by the way - it's not absolutely needed for antifoaming. 6 billion people fry food without it.

Since when do 6 billion people fry food for customers? Big difference.
Don't worry about the yellow dye - try the green:

Is there anywhere in Kelowna who does a really good bag of chips? You know, the kind you'd get from a proper chippers in England.

Been there once, I must go back and see if they're better the second time around.

Those who are concerned about their health aren't eating french fries, and don't care if they are eating mystery additives.

In most cases there aren't the "mystery additives".
