Animal abuee registry

Post by Bigjohn69 »

A number of United States jurisdictions have implemented an animal offenders registry, which will publicly reveal the names of known animal abusers in the area, similar to how sex offenders are registered.

Is this something Canada should have ?

Damn straight there should be one. Anyone who abuses animals, children, elders or anyone else for that matter deserves to be known.
Dance as if no one's watching, sing as if no one's listening, and live everyday as if it were your last.

Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.

A Duncan man has been sentenced to four months in jail for beating his 16-week-old puppy to death.

Robert Carolan is also banned from owning animals for a decade after it was found his puppy Dux had suffered severed blunt force trauma.

"Bans" on owning animals for X number of years is a joke. Those banned will acquire more because there's nothing stopping them. There has been many instances of that happening.

A registry, available to law enforcement, SPCA and veterinarians should be implemented. Rescues should be able to coordinate with the SPCA to find out if someone is on that registry.

Should just shoot them and save everyone money.

People who abuse children and pets (the defenseless) are just basically evil people and have no business belonging to a civilized nation.

Shooting is the easy way out ... they get the same treatment they dished out to the defenseless animal.

Blunt force trauma to his head and right rib and there were signs of pneumothorax, a trauma-induced condition that stops an animal’s lungs from fully inflating before sticking the asshat in the tub and going out for a cigarette, drink, or snack.

Sounds good. Anything more severe than the current slaps on the wrists these monsters get, I can get on board with.

The animal cruelty punishments in Canada are a joke
