It’s hard to resist comparing the fairly innocuous coverage of Trudeau’s embarrassing antics in India to the blood bath of negative coverage that would ensue if Trump and his family pranced around in costumes during a state visit and a member of the president’s administration invited a man convicted of the attempted murder of an Indian cabinet minister along for the trip.

At least the media wouldn’t have to resort to made-up stories from anonymous sources. Their usual anti-Trump bias would suffice.

One of the few things I like about federal Liberal supporters is that they can at least acknowledge when one of their own screws up, and take the lumps, unlike NDP supporters who are just mindless unquestioning propaganda-spewing zombies. CNN’s Ratings Collapse Marches into June

Far-left cable channel CNN suffered a massive ratings collapse in May. June is shaping up to be worse.

CNN stumbled out of May with a massive -25 percent ratings collapse when compared to the same month last year. Because Fox News actually experienced total viewer growth and MSNBC’s loss was a negligible two percent, we know the problem is CNN and not the news cycle or Americans tiring of the news.

To understand just how awful of a week CNN just had, you have to understand just how bad the entire month of May was for the anti-Trump cable channel.

MSNBC: 1.65 million

Honest journalism pales in comparison for entertainment value, especially among the weak minded. Fox news ratings are proof of this, that positioning it's audience as the victim of an imaginary antagonist keeps them glued.

CNN is just painful to watch because they try to provide a balanced view by using panels of conservatives and liberals to discuss matters. The fact that outside right wing echo chamber, conservative narratives are simply absurd, makes CNN almost unwatchable. I will make an exception for Fareed Zakaria's GPS, which at least provides credible conservatives that don't continually insult your intelligence.

And speaking of insulting your intelligence, then there's prime time Fox with the likes Carlson and Hannity. When caught peddling conspiracy theories, or having conflicts of interest, they simply claim to be entertainers not news anchors. This way they don't have to play by the same rules of journalistic integrity as other news broadcasters. The fact that Hannity is even still on the air, after the revalation his misleading attacks on the Mueller investigation, and specifically their raid on Cohen's office, were self serving, is just further proof that when it comes to right wing media, they simply don't have to play by the same rules. This is because their clueless viewers aren't savvy enough to know the difference between entertainment and legitimate news, and Fox news is clever enough to exploit this weakness among the American public all the way to the bank.

Watching CNN is like opening an e-mail attachment from a 'Nigerian Prince.' No good will come of it, but some people just can’t resist the allure of easy riches, or cable noise ‘personalities’ pandering to their viewers’ childish and obsessive hostility toward anything that doesn’t conform to their myopic leftist paradigm.

It’s amazing that credible anything, let alone “credible conservatives” can still be found on that low rated disaster of a channel. It’s nothing short of inspirational that a virtuous few are still willing to take the time to reach out to all the wretched unfortunates who are so dazed and confused by CNN’s avalanche of mindless drivel that they’ve lost the ability to comprehend the means by which their agony can be arrested and even reversed. They just have to rouse themselves from their stupor long enough to change the channel like everyone else has.
