Burst of light, loud boom puzzles Washington state residents
A bright burst of light illuminated the horizon over western Washington state Wednesday night, followed by a loud boom that shook the ground, according to several reports, leaving both residents and officials puzzled.
Local officials in Grays Harbor County received hundreds of calls about the incident, the cause of which remains a mystery.
The county's Division of Emergency Management said it contacted the National Weather Service in Seattle, which said there was not a severe weather event in the area at the time of the reported "ground shaking, loud boom and flash of light in the sky."

Okay, I've got a theory. I think N. Korea fired a rocket at California and because their stuff is so accurate it ended up heading towards Washington. I think it was shot down. That's why none of the government agencies know a thing about it. Baloney.

I'd prolly guess iron/nickel, about basketball size, going 24km/s.

Seeing that meteorites can enter the Earth's atmosphere anywhere between 11km/s to 72km/s and since I like to wager high - I'll put my money on a metallic and mineral laden piece of space material entering the atmosphere at 69km/s

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_fireballs
As shown by the above Wikipedia page it appears that there has never been a "publicized" consensus on what these fire balls really are.
Clearly in the latter half of 2017 through 2018 (current) we are hearing an increase of reports on numerous sightings of blue and green fireballs all over the planet.
Personally I believe that it is military technology/weapons., whether the US or another country.
I believe that the United States government and most all government/military know exactly what these fireballs are.
I am waiting for a staged theatrical world event using these fireballs brought to us by world government media Inc.

I’m going to take the Trump route and say it was the most beautiful yuuuge piece of shiny metal much bigger than a basketball and it was going much faster than every other meteorite at 78km/s because it wanted to get into American airspace. It burned up..sad.
