How about this then; Lethbridge v's Rockets at Lethbridge, 2 adults sitting at the glass--$6.00!! I kid you not.
Oh, the fuel bill came to about $200 :137:

I agree they are much less than going to an NHL game but I don't think the average working family say with 2 kids could afford to go to many games. Taking kids to a game, you are going to have to buy "treats" or whatever you call it.........

Hmm .....Not necessarily, ...... in fact, entirely unnecessary.
The way I look at it is bang-for-buck. I do a cost analysis on everything I do, and it goes something like this:
I've just shelled-out $132 for 3 people to attend 2 games; that's at least 5 1/2 hours of emotionally and physically exhilarating entertainment.
That works out at $8/h/person.
I can't think of many forms of entertainment that can have the same emotional impact for $8.00 per hour, per person?
Bowling, cinema, swimming, cribbage, restaurant, .....? Or maybe just sitting at home vegetating in front of the TV?

Cost analysis is great but I am just saying some families just can't afford that......

I agree with you, Bubalouie, but I don't think that family entertainment should be relegated in importance to other 'wasteful' considerations which we are all guilty of to some extent.
Tobacco, alcohol, drugs, multi-trips for shopping when once per week is sufficient, processed food, dishwashing machines, drying machines, cable TV max packs etc., etc.
It's all about perception and priorities, and these are all items that I rate lower in priority to my family entertainment and social interaction.
BTW, I park for free and walk the 1.5km along the waterfront to Prospera Place to save $3-5 each game. 36 x $4 = $144 per regular season!
Occasionally I 'forget' that there is a ziploc bag full of mixed nut 'treats' in my pocket.

Re: Kelowna Rockets
For a family of five, with one person working, I could see spending money on a couple of movies at home and pizza. That I could do a few times vs one hockey game. I do go to the Warriors, though with the kids...a bit cheaper.

For anyone interested in listening to the web-radio broadcast of tonight's game, you may have to tune into Tri-Citys radio. I'm only getting a Jays game on AM1150!
It's 1-1 halfway through the first period.

Re: Kelowna Rockets
:nyah: Rockets win tonight 3-2 in Tri city. Now we know we can win in Tri city now. I believe we could take this series. We beat Everett who had 97 points, Which is the same number Tri city had.
Games 3 and 4 in Kelonwa Tuesday and Wednesday. If you don't have your ticket yet I would recommend(if you can) get some. I think they will be great games. I look forward to be there.

LOL I for one thought that they were overpriced last night, however, the attendance looked better than average for a Tuesday nighter. The 50/50 prize was $4,600, which is the highest it's been for a long time; indicating a good attendance.

Attendance was not good at all last night. 5231 people in a stadium that holds 6800. That may seem good compared to other, but considering we ausually have atleast 6000 not so good. This is the playoffs and I think that might be the smallest crowd in Prospera this year. I guess lots of people with season ticketd did not buy there playoff tickets because they did not think we would make it.
I have no clue how we out shot them considering how sloppy we were playing. We could barley even past to are own guys for the most part yet alone get a shot. They better play better tonight or we will be in a big hole heading to Tri-city down 3-1 in the series. GO ROCKETS GO!

Re: Kelowna Rockets
WTH happened tonight. Out shooting them 35-13 and for the most part outplaying them, yet we could not find a way to win. We would tie it up then they would just come back. The odds of the Rockets making it 2 the next round r not looking good now. Down 3-1 in the series. We now have 2 win the next 3 and 2 of them r in Tri-city.
