It was a dark and stormy night.
The afternoon was an abysmal failure for sailing so we motored up the lake to a friends house (trailer park). There was a dock. We tied up. Ooohhh Now the wind.
Now, I was largely ambivalent to the rising, falling, and bashing but the wife (girlfriend back then) had some sailing experience, a concept of safety, and had probobally read the contract enough to know that busting that boat up on the dock was a no-go.
Did I say I had slept on a boat? No. I said I spent a night on one.
We motored out under captain 'you know who's' orders and anchored in the 'bay'. The anchor system is a whack of nylon rope and a pointy peice of tin the size of a quisanart. But less pointy.
Yes, spent the night. I had no sexual relations with that 19 year old that night AND didn't sleep. Oh yes, I have spent a night on a boat.
