Old enough to remember whacking a TV on a side to improve picture quality.

Or whacking a kid upside the head to go change the channel.

Some doctors smoked while they examined you. I don't go back quite that far but I have seen pictures. [icon_lol2.gif]

I remember the smoking room at KGH on the mat ward. Even then that was strange. My wife was in a room with 3 "ladies" who all were ready to pop and they would regularly wheel themselves down to the room, close themselves in and puff away. Wonder how their kids are?

I suffered an eye injury as a teenager and spent a week or so in the hospital and the first thing I did when I came to was to ask my mom for a smoke (she didn't smoke) and lit er up just like at home. As long as there was no oxygen in the room, you were clear to puff away to your hearts content.

I remember having to fight my way through the smoke in my doctor’s office, just to see him sitting behind his desk.

And although I’ve been a non smoker for almost 30 years now, I did smoke when I was pregnant (not proud of that). However, both my kids turned out just fine.

The Friendly Giant !, that was a late comer 1958 to 1985. How about Uncle Chichimus, and Wunda Wunda in the early 50's ?
