Low Income Spay Program
Good Morning I'm sure there is a topic about this somewhere here, I couldn't find it.
Does anyone know do they offer low income spaying of cats in Kelowna? I see on the SPCA website they do in Kamloops/Van and a few other locations. I'm wondering if this is something offered in Kelowna?
thank you in advance for your help

Re: Low Income Spay Program
You may have found an answer to this question already but if not I found out for you.
I phoned the Kelowna SPCA and was told that in order to get help with getting a cat fixed
you have to make less than $35000 a year.
If you make less than that you have to take your GST income sheet from your last income tax to the SPCA.
I'm pretty sure they will want to see your I.D. as well.
There is a form you have to fill out also and then you wait 2-5 days for approval.
For a female (spay) you will have to pay $53.20.
For a male (neuter) you will have to pay $40.07.
Not all of the vets in Kelowna participate in this SPCA progam. I think she said there are only five.
So either they know the vets who participate in this program or you might have to phone the
vets yourself----not sure about that.
Good for you for being a responsible pet owner!!!

Wait a minute! Do they offer low income spay or neutering for dogs too?
I'd rather live with regrets than regret not living.
