Found dog.

Post by Xia33 »

This lovely dog was found tonight (sat, oct 26) on the highway between grinrod and sicamous, near whispering pines campsite. He looks like a schnauzer, but has a lovely creamy silver coat and is larger than a miniature. He looks and smells like he has recently been bathed. He is injured on his hind quarters and has some puncture wounds. Talked to a vet and they don't want to do anything before we have tried harder to find his owner. The kids canvassed houses out there but had no luck.
Someone is missing this beautiful boy! I have him at my house so if anyone is looking for him, please pm me!

Poor guy, hope you find his owners but could you post the picture right way up?

If this dog is hurt it needs to be seen by a vet, I dont understand why the vet wont do anything until you find the owner. Ask another vet! does this dog have a tattoo or a chip that they can find the owner

Yes, I realize he needs to see a vet. We are going to go out in the area again today to canvas some more homes with a photo of him. If nothing comes of it, he will see a vet tomorrow. He is quiet and doesn't seem to be in pain and he ate and drank this morning and his gum color is good, so not worried about internal bleeding. Doing the best I can at the moment. He is warm and comfortable with lots of love and attention to his needs.

Looks like a happy ending. The owner is on her way to pick up "Laddie". :) Will update again when I see that the reaction is what I am expecting and hoping for.

Fantastic! How did they find out about you? Castanet, Facebook or some other way?
I bet the owners were worried sick. The world needs more caring people like you. Well done.
