I think Jlabute, you are now commanded (by QK and Moi) to produce video evidence. C'mon, get with it. Hire a pro if need be.

Oldtrucker was politely agreeing with me that you should hire a pro, Jlabute.

Still waiting for Ruban's primo performance.

lol you’re prolly right!
Ruban’s first birthday is coming up (Apr 11). I had him out playing last night. He is a very rough player and it takes all my attention. As my hand scurries across the coach, he chases it down, pounces on it, wrestles with it... then does a human laugh... lol. He has a cough too that he mimics, and words of course. He’s really funny. I did get a big bite on my nose a few months back and now I have a cross section mark of a beak that went 5mm in tomy nose. Got that from playing peekaboo up too close, lol.
Usually in the morning, like right now, he wakes up first looking for fresh food. He tries to get my attention by meowing (yeah I vocalized a meow one time for the heck of it), other times he will meow, or scream followed by a cough... lol. Meow!! — cough cough cough — . New words include “good boy”, “ sweetie”, and the usual, “I got you” which he’s never forgotten, “come here”, etc. He’s a hand full.

One comment on my new nose scar - I can certainly attest that getting a broken nose hurts all to heck for quite a while. Getting a razor sharp beak in to the tip of my nose didn’t really hurt at all, but my brain was saying “oh shoot” although not quite exactly like that. I pulled Ruban away, covered my nose, and I could feel droplets of blood filling my hand. That was quite a production. I wish I had recorded it, but I’m just not savvy enough to hold my nose with one hand while putting Ruban in his cage with another, while recording it. LoL. I think the trick would be to have a specific flat area for playing where a stationary camera can be setup on a tripod.

Ruban is maturing and being more gentle with me as we play. No more bleeding fingers, lol. New words include “what cha doing?”, “ding dong”, “take a bath”, plus he puts multiple short statements together... like “ come here ding dong”, stuff like that. I thought his favorite toy would be some sort of chew toy, but it is piles of small, coloured plastic squares and circles that Ching together hanging from the cage roof tied together with leather strings. He is a fun little boy, but a handful.

lol.

I find it tough to take phone pictures in a dim room of a fast moving bird. BUT, seeing I have a captive audience, here is a fuzzy shot of Ruban climbing up my leg. lol
