It appears you started a thread asking for advice just to debate any advice that isn't the ones you specifically want.

Keep your damn pets indoors and they'll be fine.

Let them outside and they eventually get killed.
Dead is dead.
Doesn't matter how then, does it.
But it coulda been avoidable if they weren't free to roam the wild.
Seeking the apartment that is creating leasing interest concerns knowledgeable seclusive *bleep* excessively.

^^Tone it down. The poster mentioned that her cat escaped

the poster sure did...Graphite did you post it on the FB page for lost pets ??

My cat was an indoor cat and has gone missing because he got out of a door that wasn't closed properly.

Please quote where I asked for advice? My specific question was is anyone aware of someone poisoning or trapping cats in the area? Any comments referring to dead cats or getting hit by cars etc is just trolling. Go elsewhere since you are not adding anything useful or even necessary to the post.

Yes several ads on several pages. I have had a few leads and also a number of kind messages from people. Unfortunately no luck at this time.

My neighbourhood is littered with missing cat posters. There are a few strays in our area as well, one in particular comes to my house every night for pets and hunt mice. Cute little all black cat that im guessing is less than a year old.

It is happening because people are poisoning mice and rats. Rats are becoming a bigger and bigger problem. If you poison them they don't die right away, then cat eats rat, rat infects cat. pretty simple

Our cat was also anti-freezed by the neighbor in West Kelowna years ago - but i handled the neighbor so no more problems there

I feel sorry for the owner of any cat that gets caught off guard in my backyard, it hasn't happened yet but my GSD certainly disapproves of small visitors in her space. Theres many reasons an outdoor cat could go missing.
Sure do love Rutland!!
