G. Pigs
It’s not often you hear of someone giving up trying to feed, house and clean up after the inhouse pet population reaches 250

Sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice. There’s a certain point at which ignorance becomes malice, at which there is simply no way to become THAT ignorant except deliberately and maliciously.

It sounds like owners allowed far to many conjugal visits between male & females.Catsumi wrote: It’s not often you hear of someone giving up trying to feed, house and clean up after the inhouse pet population reaches 250

I don't give a damn whether people/posters like me or dislike me, I'm not on earth to win any popularity contests.

Re: G. Pigs
In rescue I see it all the time with cats, dogs, the (non-existent) tea cup pigs and rodents (Guinea pigs, pet rats, rabbits etc. It usually starts with an I'll informed uneducated caretaker who doesn't realize they will reproduce and do so rapidly.
Sadly there are some pretty ignorant people out there. I was involved in one case where a guy had 2 cats, male and female who were mother and son...unfixed. The mom became pregnant and the guy refused to believe that the son was the baby daddy. He honestly and emphatically refused the fact that animals engage in incest.
