What to do with the Kin Race track

Flat Track Motorcycle Racing is on a good upswing in Canada again.
Starting next year, it will even have a true National flavour with
a Series event at the Cloverdale Downs. (Cancelled for it's inaugural this year
due to a conflict of schedules)

Kin Track fits all the criteria except one, public support !

O'keefe Ranch has a track, one of the top money draws for over 20 yrs. that they had...
had, because they no longer want our money.

Sure do miss those events, and people.

Can you imagine the noise complaints if they start motorcycle racing on a track that borders on a residential neighbourhood?

I don't know Bob … it's not that close to Lawrence Heights … shouldn't be a problem.

Fence in the civic arena and give them that. They can only leave that area for appointment, get clean, or to contribute to society or a job. No more free range homeless to roam freely in the city

Ya know those collars that you can put on dogs to keep them in the yard electronically? Well they work by giving the dog a shock when the dog crosses over a wire buried in the ground around the edge of the yard. Wouldn't this kind of thing work on the homeless who would be contained inside the race track? The collars could even be rigged to explode if the wearer tried to leave the area. Good technology is always the answer.

But "free range" is all the trend these days [icon_lol2.gif]

There are plenty of jobs in Vernon. They just don’t pay a fortune.

All for a homeless shock collar prison. Prefer if it was up a mountain out of sight.

Bahaha you're joking right? These people don't want jobs. They want to do drugs and hang out on the grass along 25th ave.

I'm not sure junkies and jobs is on topic, but imagine the jobs that could be created if they make the right moves with the track.

Not only the constuction jobs in the short term but long term positions that would help support the continued growth in the region.

:topic:

Ahem !!!

Other Cities, Towns, and Communities embrace the activity that Motorsports brings.
The diversified people of all walks of life.
The full on, positive atmosphere.
The draw of Hometown, Provincial, and potential for Canadian National Events.
The Business, The Monies !!!(for those that think that way.)

But..Naysayers don't like the noise, even though under required decibel ranges...
A few times a year.

I even imagine that track flooded during cold climes for ice racing..

Just my mind...
