Strikers bad for business?

Post by tkliner »

While the Casino Striker's in Vernon may not be interfering with traffic, as stated, the one's in Kelowna are.

They walk along taking up the sidewalk in front of two other businesses causing foot traffic to work around them.

While they do move from the driveway that goes into the Parkade and the Private Residence Club at the Delta it's only because they often stop and chat in the middle of the driveway. This does often cause traffic int eruptions and confusion for drivers and pedestrians.

I use the Parkade entrance regularly and have on most occasions had to wait, weave or otherwise been inconvenienced by the Strikers.

It's not that I don't care completely but I don't gamble, I've only ever been in the Casino once which was only to buy tickets for a concert so I really don't like being inconvenienced by the picketing when I'm going elsewhere.

On one occasion one of the Strikers actually poked his strike flag back at my face. I was on my motorcycle so with no window protecting me it is and was quite concerning.

So, the individual intentionally tried to hit your face with his sign? Or he accidentally hit your face?

Yes it was intentional. No he did not hit me and maybe he didn't even mean to poke it "at my face" but that is the level my face was at sitting on a motorcycle when he poked the strike flag over his shoulder at me.

Had he hit me, this would of course be a different story.
